SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

All the participants and accompanying are invited to joint the following events:

–  4-hour tour in Ha Long Bay

– Banquet along the Ceremony of 15th Years of Vietnam Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

 

Immigration:

People from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Laos, Cambode, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippine do not need a visa to Vietnam. People holding an official passport from Argentina, Azerbaijan, Albania, Algeria, India, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Chile, Cuba, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Dominica, Ecuador, Hungary, Kyrgystan, Morocco, Mexico, Moldova, Myanmar, Mozambique, Russia, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela, Uruguay also do not need visa to Vietnam.  A visa is required for other overseas participants to visit Vietnam. In order to apply for the visa, you and your accompanying just need to fill a visa application form (available on the website of the conference) and send by email to the Secretariat on time. The Local Organizing Committee will process your visa application in Hanoi and send you a letter with an issued number with which you will be able to obtain the Visa at the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in your country with some charge.

Deadline for visa application: Sept. 15, 2012

 

Money exchange:

Vietnamese Dong (VND) is preferred in Vietnam. You can change into Vietnamese Dong by USD, Euro, Japanese Yen at the airports, hotels or banks. Credit Cards (VISA, MASTER, American Express) are only welcome in big hotels or big stores.

 

Climate:

The weather at the beginning of November in Ha Long City is normally: clear, no rain and temperature of about 20-28oC.

 

Note:

– Flights to Hanoi. Please contact your travel agency for the flight reservation as soon as possible.

– Students should send to the secretariat their completed registration form together with a copy of student card by Email.
